1. Skiing
Vorarlberg is a paradise for skiers. Here are some of the best ski resorts nearby:
- Brandnertal – 25 km away, approx. 25 minutes' drive
- Laterns – 20 km away, approx. 30 minutes' drive
- Montafon – 30 to 50 km away, approx. 25 to 60 minutes' drive
- Damüls – 30 km away, approx. 45 minutes' drive
- Lech am Arlberg – 55 km away, approx. 50 minutes by car
2. Tobogganing
Tobogganing is a real winter highlight, especially in Brandnertal. There are numerous possibilities:
- Brandnertal – Always have your toboggan to hand! There are three toboggan runs and even a toboggan safari in Brand and Bürserberg. For the more adventurous, there is night tobogganing every Tuesday and Friday.
- Laterns – The Gapfohl 4-seater chairlift takes you to the starting point of the run as often as you like with your toboggan ticket and guarantees hours of fun.
- Garfrescha night toboggan run – A 5.5 km long night toboggan run leads from the Garfrescha mountain station via the Maisäßsiedlung Grandau to the Garfrescha Bahn valley station in St. Gallenkirch-Gortipohl. Open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
- Satteins – Directly behind our house on the Tillbühel, if there is enough snow.
3. Cross-country skiing
Cross-country skiing offers peace and relaxation amidst the snowy landscape:
- Satteins – Right next to our house in the Satteinser Ried, if the snow conditions are suitable.
- Feldkirch – In the districts of Altenstadt and Nofels there are two cross-country ski trails with a total of 25 km of well-groomed tracks.
- Montafon – With 33 cross-country ski trails, the Montafon offers a breathtaking natural experience. The snow-sure high-altitude trails are ideal for recharging your batteries for everyday life.
4. Snowshoe hiking
Explore the winter wonderland on snowshoes – a wonderful way to experience the tranquil beauty of Vorarlberg:
- Satteins and the surrounding area – Satteins, Röns, Schnifis, Düns, and Dünserberg offer wonderful snowshoe tours. You will also find wonderful routes in the surrounding ski areas.
